More Than 100 Hurt in Brazilian Grandstand Collapse Updated: Monday, 20 Sep 2010, 4:57 PM EDT Published : Monday, 20 Sep 2010, 4:57 PM EDT (NewsCore) - More than 100 spectators were injured Monday when a section of grandstand collapsed during a motorsport event in southern Brazil, Globo News reported. The structure, which was reportedly designed to hold about 400 people, suddenly gave way during a sprint car race in Parana state. Firefighters said 105 people were injured, including at least nine critically. Police are investigating the collapse.
