Anyone try out different brands of gauges and have some perform better than others?

I'm looking to buy a new A/F, Boost, Oil Pressure, and maybe a Tach.

I know autometer is fairly entry level, and I've heard good things about prosport.

Whats your opinions?

Delphi makes some nice gauges but they are one the pricey side.

Megasquirt with the MegaViewer :)

Personal preference - they all look/work a bit different... Personally I like the old school VDOs but I bet more will disagree than agree with me.

from all the datalogging i've done, the only gauges that seem to be accurate:

Defi, HKS, STRI, Greddy

Autometer is fairly accurate as well, but they all look like shit.

Prosport and glowshift are the worse i have ever seen. For example, reading water temps of 110C when it's actually 94C

My pick would be Defi's. They look great, awesome features, and extremely accurate.

Ballin':burnout:

SPA makes the nicest gauges I've never seen in person LOL.

Pretty sure this dash is worth around $2k.

Their gauges made for aircraft are pretty neat...like the I/C IN and I/C OUT and I/C Diff. Temp gauge.

SPA aircraft instrument/panel manufacturers? highly unlikely imo, maybe for the experimental guys where there's really no rules.

Aircraft instrument panels aren't what ppl make them out to be - believe me i look behind them and under them almost every day, visually they're just 'clean/neat/organized' looking compared to all-in-one automotive type clusters, they have to be that way for a reason, it's the wiring techniques that sets aircraft instrumentation apart from automotive when you start going the non-oem route with aftermarket/supplemental gauges.

that said for quality gauges if you can afford them IMO, go with companies that have been doing it for ages and excel in that certain field, clean and simple route, very accurate and used in countless, endless OEM cars, trucks, boats, aircraft : VDO, hands down.

bling and accuracy: Defi

I was talking about the Davtron I/C temp panel. For some reason I thought they were affiliated with SPA somehow. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

This is the panel I was referring to.

What do you mean by different wiring techniques? Just curious.
