Just a heads up if anyones bored tonight, the Aussie Rules grand finals are on tonight on TSN2 I believe starting at 930PM. It's going to be a great game, two of the biggest and most beloved teams in the league and huge rivals. (Collingwood Magpies v. St Kilda Saints) Would be basically like if the Leafs played the Habs for the cup. If you don't know the sport here's some videos to see what it's like.

Kind of like if you mixed Soccer and Rugby.

Anybody end up watching? Close game throughout, final 3 minutes kicked a behind for a point to tie the game, it ended in a draw. And they don't do any extra time so they play again next weekend. 1030PM October 1st. Has happened 3 times in over 100 years, super rare.

I missed it, but am glad to hear that there will be a rematch next week.

Love watching Aussie Rules. Seriously one of the fastest sports (without line changes every 45 seconds) out there.

It really is quite quick, and requires you to be tremendously athletic. I couldn't imagine how much endurance these guys need to run up and down the massive pitch for 20 minute quarters, meanwhile tackling eachother, handballing/kicking, marking etc. After the game ended in a draw most of the players were pissed and I can understand why. They train hard through the week, then go to war for 4x20, then they have to do it all over again. Hopefully the final on the weekend will be just as exciting as this week.

Here's the highlights of the final that ended in a draw.

Love aussie rules!

Although I do question your hockey knowledge, leafs vs habs for a cup final?

I used it as a comparison, in that they are both the 2 most historic and well-loved teams in NHL history, (as CollingwoodFC / STKFC) and have easily the biggest rivalry in the sport (as CFC/STKFC), I'm quite aware they are in the same conference ;)

Collingwood won by a huge margin. Most ever in a premiership. The team I chose when I was over there, it's a nice victory :) First in 20 years.
