Just a fine, they can't prove who was driving so you won't get any demerits or anything.

As for the amount, what was the speed limit and how fast were you going?

And all that is assuming they even got a good image, I know for a fact that I've gotten caught speeding by a camera and never got anything in the mail, probably due to the burnt out license plate light (long since fixed)

Next time, maybe go a tad slower though.

It doesent "detect" anything, it just keeps a coordinate database of submitted intersection camera and speed trap locations and then advises the user accordingly.

thanks, everyone. I know that they can't pin it on the driver if it's photo radar, but since it was for excessive speeding I was wondering if they come to the door. But I guess they don't, thank god.

Photo Radar, they cant tell who was driving, so yes only the registered owner gets a ticket.

If it's excessive speeding, they CAN come to your house and issue a ticket to the registered owner of the vehicle, and a court date; if they want to push it.

That's what I'm worried about, being my age and such with a car of mine, they might feel like pushing it.

I missed the original post ... was it something good like 'what happens if you get a ticket for 80kph over the limit on a photorader?'

Pretty much... but I didn't do 80 over, I wouldn't EVER do such a thing

If you fight photo radar and lose - can they then add demerits?
