You bought it so that you could give it back to it's potential owner?

Sound like a legit thing to do to me.... :dunno:

Looks like a brand new bike.

Sticker still on crank from factory even..

Does the bike show any wear?

Start a thread on these sites, otherwise you may have yourself a cheap and crazy awesome bike.

I called the number and nothing

I used to live about 2 1/2 hours drive from that address.

Did you dial the country code? You would need to dial 011-41-(0)79-2342728 from Canada. The "0" I put in parentheses may need to be dropped also, you'd have to try it and see. Switzerland is eight hours ahead of us, so bear that in mind if you try again.

Normally Jetta-2.0 I want to smash myself in the face when I see your posts, but I have to commend you for this.

Most people would just ignore the crackhead, no doubt somebody paid a lot of money for that bicycle. I have nothing but respect for people that go out of their way like this.

How did you get that from what he wrote?

If that was an attempt of being funny you failed miserably.

I thought it was pretty funny.

Life must be shitty with no sense of humour.

PS, good on you for doing the right thing. There isn't many people who would have dont that.

It doesn't take much to entertain a small mind I guess.

Actually I think the joke was well played and clever. I don't know why you have a stick up your ass anyways, let the man make jokes and if people enjoy them then so be it.

Should get increased user rating if you actually find the owner of the bike and return it.

Not to be negative here.. but maybe the owner was a crackhead and sold/traded it to get more crack?? Maybe check with Police to see if it was reported stolen before offering it back to anyone for free.

(I had a family member who went through an addiction... sold everything he had for pennies on the dollar)

(I had a family member who went through an addiction... sold everything he had for pennies on the dollar) Being a crackhead, they probably sold it for $20, or whatever their next hit cost.

Exactly.. that or a straight across trade.

Unless it's changed hands a few times, I can't see it being owned by a crackhead cause that's a pretty expensive bike. Crackheads usully roll around with beatup mountain bikes.

OP if you can't find the owner, I'll give you a generous two times the money that you paid for it. ;)

Funny how it was posted yesterday when this ad came up. Whoever claims it should be able to prove it with a receipt or serial number.

Exactly what I thought! And if it was "taken" aka stolen from their garage while on holidays they should have a police report as well no? No telephone number left either..

Ya, pretty suspect, that is a serious bike, the owner should have a reciept, Visa,Mastercard statement or something.

Should have the accent from Switzerland, and the legs of a serious rider :)

Not sure why the OP put so many specifics in the post.
