$60,000 Canadian?? Ok, even I'm interested now. The VW president basically had this car made as a tribute to himself, and its set to live up to standards that even the highest end luxury cars would have a hard time meeting. If they can deliver it for $60K, then it would be a truly impressive feat (as long as they didn't strip everything out of the concept that made the concept cool).

nahhhh i realllly reallllly like that benz badge :D Nice car if it was 60 canadian but the one i saw they wanted $120 000 and that in my opinion is just lucacris. NOT FOR A VW. I love european cars but that is just to much for something that is not a benz bimmer or especially an Aston or Tvr. Come to think of it in my opinion that is to much for ANY CAR. (Aston is handbuilt though :D ) :eek:

Here is some basic pricing info...

base V8 - 97 150 CDN

Fully Ld V8 - 113 000 CDN

Base W12 (if you can get it) is set at 79 900 US or roughly 120 759 CDN and it only goes up from there.

All that is MRSP as well. Generally dealers add thier little mark up, especially on high end luxury vehicles.

The 540 doesn't even come close to even concieve of comparing to the Phaetons glory.

Yeah .. right ... the last 5 series was out for 8 yrs, and won more rewards then any other cars ! and the new 545i will rock ! (but $90K:() Believe or not, there is no other Luxury car drives better then The 5 series on the planet ! :thumbsup:


Anyway, back to VW, I saw a Phaeton in VW dealership and I asked my gf to guess the price for that car, she guessed $60K ! but it is $129,000 plus taxes! :rofl:
