Just wondering if anyone works at a dealer or locksmith and would be able to program a key for cheaper than the $140 that they want. Also has anyone tried the keys off ebay? Thanks

they are charging you flat labor rate for an hour of work. they can do it in 5 mins. i would try and get them to give it to you half price

I know of a mobile locksmith in Edmonton that can do it.
Fox Locks
And yes, Phenix is right. If you bitch and complain enough, they will let u get it for cheaper, or say you work at Napa/Mazda or some other place and they might give you wholesale pricing.
The guides for programming keys are all over the internet if you already have one that's programmed that you can have in the ignition.

I do have one but cant find a guide? Everywhere I look says a diagnostic machine is needed
There's a second way to program them by putting one in the ignition and hitting a series of buttons on the other.
