New ones are $5900 + gst

And I have a ton of extra media and ink with it.

Not sure what your comparing it to.
Is there another used one around?

A 2 second search reveals these are being sold for ~$4,600 after rebates at both Vistek and The Camera Store. I didn't look anywhere else.

I'm guessing that is what it's being compared to.

Manufacturer websites are about the last place you should look for determining market price - they almost always list full MSRP, which nobody pays.

Very nice printer though!

sorry, but wasn't the kijiji ad for a 9880 and you're comparing to the price of a 9900? or was I seeing things when I clicked on the link?

if you are indeed comparing the price of a 9900 to your 9880 you're WAY out to lunch. total different animal. The only things they have in common is they're both epson and they're both 44" wide. Way different color gamut(different ink system 9880 is 9 colors with 8 in use, 9900 is 11 with 10 in use), ink usage, black switching, nozzle characteristics, an auto nozzle cleaning system, a state of the art ink and media usage monitoring system, the ability to run ink cartridges completely dry, the list of differences between the two printers is actually REALLY long.

Not to mention depreciation on printers is extremely SEVERE. The cost to repair anything can be astronomical on the bigger printers if you ever need to get an epson tech in so anything not under warranty is always a big risk. All it takes is one bad nozzle to make the deal not worth it to anybody.

I'd be honestly surprised if you found a buyer in the $2000-$2500 price range.

$5900+GST is what I see for my printer color burst edition.
From Vistek
Camera store doesn't carry this model (/w rip)

http://vistek.ca/store/ProPhotoEpson/233671/epson-stylus-pro-9880-printer-colorburst-edition.aspx

Plus I am including several hundred dollars worth of ink, media, mtc tank.

So its like the printer is in the low $3000's if you count those.

The life cycle in the service part on all replaceable parts are all 5/5 stars so it's in really good shape.

^^^ You linked to the 9900, which is where I was coming from. It looks like you have the 9880.

sorry man, but the 9880 is over 5 year old technology. Your price is WAY out to lunch...if you are moving the price down drop me a line as I know a guy that's looking for one to do a conversion on.

and yeah, you can pick a 9900 up for cheaper than 5900 all day long, and it has a larger color gamut than the 9880 colorburst. I paid less than 5900 for my 9900 almost a year ago.

I am considering offers.
Have him PM me.
Just had an offer for $3000 without the rip, ink or media included.

Well you know what they say a sucker born every day. The cost to replace one single nozzle is enough to simply go out and buy a new printer with a warranty, this is why I'm telling you $2,000 is what you'd be lucky to get. I do over $10,000 per year in printed product and the servicing was what drove me away from printers.
