Customer Service Centre Representative

Platinum Communications has been providing reliable high speed Internet to rural Albertans for over 10 years with an emphasis on superior customer care.

We are recruiting a full time salaried CSC Rep for our newly redesigned Customer Support Centre in the Calgary office. You will be part of a team of specialists that supports and manages first point of contact for Platinum customers while upholding our reputation for superior customer service.

This position requires a strong sense of responsibility and accountability with a dedicated focus on total customer care. The candidate will be able to work autonomously and in a team environment and must be able to work shift work including evenings and weekends. Special consideration will be given to candidates with proficiency with design and layout experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing first level support to Platinum’s customer base in all aspects of customer care including billing, sales, retention and technical support with a focus on competition, up selling and rapid assessment of customer needs
* Oversee all aspects of new installations and service calls including scheduling, contract management and appointment notification
* Management of VoIP services
* Proper documentation of all information in company CRM
* Follow up with prospective customers
* Outbound sales and marketing
* Taking ownership of a problem until resolution
* All aspects of sales, service and customer retention

Requirements

* Superior communication and people skills
* Strong PC Hardware and software diagnostic skills with experience in PC and Mac operating systems, browsers and E-mail clients
* Cable network and radio modem troubleshooting
* Ability to provide support via chat, email and phone
* Customer service or help desk experience is an asset
* Working knowledge of TCP/IP stack troubleshooting and Internet expertise
* Passion for exceeding customer service expectations
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends
* Design experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver/HTML is an asset
