Local Calgary Time.

Thursday
7:00pm - FP1
11:00pm - FP2

Friday
9:00pm - FP3
11:00pm - Qualifying

Saturday
11:59pm - Race (it's actually at midnight)

McLaren brought a brand new F-duct for this race, and will be doing extensive testing in FP1 and FP2, with a decision tonight on weather it'll be used for Saturday/Sunday. New F-Duct is supposed to reduce drag even further, allowing for more straight line speed and more wing angle/downforce in the corners.

Go McLaren!!!

btw - find a UK proxy, and FP1 is on right now. Most teams have done their installation laps, and even the big teams are heading out pretty early to test their new gear.

Lewis just crashed hard in turn 9 under the bridge. Car is fucked bad. Not sure if the car gets towed back or not to the garage before the session ends.

edit - getting towed back for repairs now.

Button goes out same spot, but saves the car. Caught good air after turn 8 over the curbs.

On the bright side, Hamilton still in 5th place with his crash.

Set your browser to use the proxy. Then go to the BBC sport site, go to Formula 1, and click Live video. If the proxy has enough bandwidth, you'll get video.

In the US. Not sure if CDN speed blacks it out.

Do I just go to

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings -> Manual Proxy configuration?

But where do I find the HTTP Proxy address and port?

I really want to watch the crash on BBC!

Forecast calls for rain for the rest of the weekend. 100% on Saturday and 80% on Sunday. Looks like qualy will be interesting for sure. Kubica and Renault look good.

Rain will help Renault and McLaren. I'm hoping for a rain race. We haven't seen one in a while.

Any particular time? I just checked my programming guide and decided to tape the remainder of nascar (bleh), horseracing, and billiards. hopefully it'll be in there somewhere.

That's pretty much a kick in the balls. If qualifying does happen he has to post the fastest time if it doesn't then I think it is very unlikely that he will be in the podium.

Qualifying and Race on the same day might not be a good thing for Alonso as he is on his last engine.

speed has it updated and is showing 10pm...

I wonder if the teams will ask the drivers to take it a little more conservatively for Quali, since it gives them no room for repair or tweaks if anything goes awry

what a start. lap 5 - SC is still out.

nice how Vettel got the fastest lap on the last lap.

You mean Webber. Way to ruin your teammate's hat trick.

oops, yeah Webber. Red Bull ran the show today!

The pass by Kobayashi on Sutil, I think it was, on the hairpin turn was badass.

Kobayashi was the fucking star of that race man. Reminded me of Brazil last year where he was just going batshit with the ballsy passes.

I didn't watch the race, but I read the recap and it looked nuts! So many DNFs early, and it seemed like Kobayashi drove a great race!

anyone hear the 5live commentary for when kobayashi passed heidfeld?

"hes shouted leroy jenkins and on he goes!" omfg lol'd at that

rage2

Kobayashi drove a great race, but that's mainly due to a big strategy difference compared to everyone else. Fresh options at the end of the race > used primes. No different than Kubica's attack in Singapore.

Exciting to watch tho!

what an eventful race. kobayashi for sure was the man of the hour. That one spot where he over took 2-3 cars was a great spectacle to watch.
