Whatever shop you go through, make sure you have a backup garage to get the swap done in.
My good friend tried to buy a 240sx chassis and get a motor swapped in. We called a shop in town for the motor, and they sent us to another shop for the install. On the morning that we were supposed to pick up the car and buy the motor, we called the install shop to make sure everything was setup. Suddenly the guy on the other end told us he couldn't do it, and fucked us over. We couldn't find another shop, and he had to back out of the deal.

I got mine done at Autodream, any problems that i had were fixed so I would recommend them. They also have the most experience in Calgary with the SR20DET. The full swap cost me $6200, but I needed to swap the stock automatic to a manual. So $5400 without that.

here's a thread with the experiences I had at Autodream. We've been talking and it sounds like the situation is getting resolved, but I don't know how long it's going to take. Been 4 months already:

You should try to find a garage and do the swap yourself, you'll save HUGE money, and the SR20DET is probably one of the easiest swaps you can do. check out:

You'll find all the information you need to do the swap!
