Exhaust shop recommendations for custom exhaust?

Hey guys, im looking for some recommendations for an exhaust shop to build me a custom turbo back exhaust. I'm thinking 3" turbo elbow back with one resonator and one muffler.

I know he is busy, but does the best exhausts and crazy fab work.

Why dont you get an HKS, Blitz, APexi, RSR, etc........

building one is going to cost you WAYYYYYYYY more than buying one, especially if its stainless you want.

Problem is most of the systems I see for sale are catback, maybe im just not looking at the right sites though. What I really need is a downpipe and testpipe made.

Umm... there are literally SHIT TONS of downpipes and test pipe on ebay. I have never used a high end brand for test pipes and downpipes. Test pipe will cost you 30$ give or take, and a downpipe will cost you roughly 100$. If you get it built by somebody, you can be expecting double.

Buy a downpipe and a test pipe.
Doesn't seem to be too TOO hard.
Your exhaust you have seems to be fine, just for downpipe and cat need to be replaced.

I suppose $130 isn't to bad if it all turns out to be shit, not a big loss haha. My catback is 2.75" or some stupid Japanese size. Also im wondering what the sensor that plugs into my cat is, I should probably investigate that.

The sensor that plugs into your cat is your stock pyro/exhaust overheat sensor. Its supposed to alert you of cat problems, since you wont have one *snip* Done millions like that, you dont need it at all.

as for quality, in these particular ones it doesnt matter, you could use bubblegum and they would still hold up, theres not alot of strain on them like there is on a manifold

Calgary autoworks can do it but like mentioned it can run you close to 6 or 7 bills

Havent had one crack yet, and ive used many. FYI dont get the ones with a flex pipe, MAKE SURE, its fucking annoying. Every one that ive used with the flex pipe, touches the frame rail where the flex pipe is and vibrates the shit out of it. I got one with a flex pipe even tho they listed the picture as it not having one. Picture said "picture is actual product"

I complained, they gave me 10$ back ( it was 30$ for the DP so cant complain haha) and i cut it out and welded in a section of pipe.

They arent like manifolds where they have a weight of a turbo on them, plus TONS of heat, the heat on a dp is way less than that of the manifold.

wouldn't you get a cel from just cutting it?

I have aftermarket engine management so I probably wont get a CEL.

You wont get a CEL, these are pre obd ecus, and because of that, are very primative in their operation. All that sensor is, is for a warning device. Haha, the overheat exhaust light was flashing the whole time on the dyno, which makes me think that your cat is toast. It takes alot to get a cel, or any problems out of these cars as far as the engine management is concerned

Very true. The quality is no better, but the service is much less severe.
