4 hour battery life, that means it'll be drained after a long movie. I can never live with that short life again, especially when travelling.

So far without actually testing it, thats the only downfall. I dont suspect it being an issue for me ATM however as my netbook battery has lasted fine for my usual applications. My Mini 1030CA is a little less battery that the "spec" from the exopc. If i get 4 hours, im golden

:werd: the ball n chain brought her ipad on our last camping trip and i was shocked to see it last through 3 movies, and music/GPS (id say around 9 hrs before in needed a charge)

could you plug in an actual keyboard, and 'prop' up the screen like a laptop on a coffee table?

Ive seen prototype docks that hold up the device that i would imagine have USB inputs. If not there will be 3rd party docks available and you can plug in a USB keyboard/mouse.

 But have you noticed they don't taste as good since they supposedly stopped using mechanically seperated meat? (It probably still is, but they only throw white meat into the grinder instead of the whole bird)

i read this and didn't believe it but looking into it, the Intel GMA 3150 in this thing can run MW1 at about 15 fps, so Civ 4 is not out of the question especially because its not as grphx intensive, pretty cool shit, if you'd like to overclock the 3150, even more possibilites.

I can play it on my Wind U100, it's slow, but playable, so I doubt this will be any worse :D

I find it funny that all the accessories for these things mostly try to turn them back into a more traditional computer haha.

Sc2 on the go??!???!?!?? It runs on my brothers laptop that has a shitty integrated intel gma card. But maybe his processor does the grunt work.

Im confused as to why thats funny?

You have a dock station set up at home then remove it when you leave the house.....seems pretty convenient.

Why would you ever use it docked at home though, assuming you have a desktop/laptop already which would be better in every way?

I can see the appeal of these tablets for riding transit or as a bathroom reader, but if it is ever just as convenient to use an actual computer, why would you instead dock the tablet and use that?

One device.

If a docked tablet is enough for the user why buy a second peice of hardware (ie Home PC or Laptop)?

If you have either already then it depends on the age of speed of the older devices as well. My netbook was one of the firsts with older tech. So instead of getting a new one to upgrade i am going with this...i also dont have a home PC (other than a HTPC).

I guess if it's your only device and it meets all your computing needs, then yes I would agree that a dock would be a good thing to have. I don't know a single person, young or old, who doesn't have a laptop, desktop, or both though.
