The car looks awesome but I think the wheels look a little too much like EVO wheels which don't suite the car IMO But none the less the color combo is stellar.

Looking at the wheels for the 3rd time, they've grown on me. They look great!

Those are wide tires lol.. :bigpimp:

I'd have to go with great color, bad choice of wheel.

They look like they belong on something cheaper, not a Benz. They just don't seem to suit the stature of the car....

Wheels are nice, great finish, but for such an incredible car, that particular wheel style doesn't do it justice.

I actually think the stock wheels look better, but thats my opinion. Maybe if they were more concave I would think they look more suited for the AMG black.

I'm 99% sure they are different offset front and rear.
It's very obvious from the pictures that the rear wheels sink in more towards the center of the wheel.

Looks deadly in person; I happened to see the car just after 4 outside of the Siemens building today.

Looks good, but not great. They make the car look too high off the ground.

I may retract this statement after a day or two of it growing on me.

Yea, it came setup from the factory like that. I'll be lowering and doing a corner balance on the car before the next track day.

Specs for those that are curious:

Front: 19x9.5 w/16mm offset, 275/30-19
Rear: 19x11 w/28mm offset, 305/30-19

10mm wider front, and 20mm wider rear on the rubber. It tames the rear end a little, reduced the instant oversteer effect. Now I get a really light dose of understeer before the backend steps out, instead of no warning at all. I got the setup recommended from a couple of Black Series track whores. Much more confidence inspiring.

I blame all the automated morning sprinklers by my house. There is no escape from morning showers!

There were 2 ways to go when I went wheel shopping. Big lip, deep dish... or something that's more fitting for a track car. I went with the latter after seeing a few pics of CLK Blacks with deep dish wheels. It doesn't look good at all.

I'm glad you went with a subtle looking track style wheel. Never been a fan of dish wheels unless it's on a street cruiser. BTW quit doing ricer fly bys past my work, we're all impressed with your car as it is. :D

Yea, here's a couple looks I contemplated before deciding against it:

Just doesn't look right to me on that car. Even 5 spoke wheels with no dish looks wrong.

Yeah even though those vossen wheels are fugly, the idea of that kind of flashier wheel doesn't work on the BS.

You chose a great wheel, Mr. Montana.

If the selection of wheel was largely influenced by being able to track with them, any particular reason you didn't just keep stock wheels with new tires??

I don't understand all the hate... i think it looks good. The car would look a lot better with a drop, but i am not sure about how that would affect its track performance, as that seems to be your main concern.

Everyone's entitled to their opinions. Not everyone likes the Matte wrap either, so can't expect everyone to like the wheel choice. At the end of the day, I'm happy haha.

Or did they do a good job keeping the weight down on the factory wheels?
