anyone know any good tab sites that have tabbed new music from today's artists, for the guitar?

www.guitarists.net

Don't trust inet tabs tho, they teach you totally wrong chords and shit. Some of the solos are ok, but some are "easy" method solos, taking out bends and shit, so it doesn't sound right. I usually use inet tabs to get a good starting point, then experiment away to find the correct method.

go to one of the OLGA mirrors. you'll find just about any tab you want there. Right now there is 25,552 files that they have. http://www.olga.net or type in olga into any search engine. online guitar archive is what it stands for if you're wondering.
what kind of guitars and set ups do people have?
I'm playing an Ibanez RX series with 2 singles and one humbucker and Ernie hybrid strings.

I have a few guitars, a Les Paul, an American Strat stock (current favorite), an old Japanese Squire Strat with new hardware and Kinman Woodstocks pickups (best sounding), and a Mexi Strat that I picked up for $50. Effects I use a crybaby wahwah, and I have a Fender Cybertwin for an amp.

50 bux for a Mexi is pretty good, even if it is a from Mexico!

effects pedals i have are Boss Heavy Metal, Chorus, Hyper Fuzz (never use), a Danelectro delay (my personal fav), and an Ibanez tremolo.

Wow nice to see some other guitar players on the board, i thought i was the only person in calgary or something.

www.Harmonycentral.com is good
i suggest getting power tab software
it actually plays the tab for you in midi as well as prints it
off like its book tab!

The site is
http://powertab.guitarnetwork.org/

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

As for what im playing with

For guitars i have a Fender American strat plus deluxe,
Ibanez Rg series and a epiphone custom les paul with
semour ducan Screamin demon pick ups.

My amps are peavey,

I have a peavey Ultra Plus 300 watt head with
upgraded mesa boogie groove tubes for better power
(Most used)

And a Peavey supreme Head for those clean moments
With a Peavey supreme 4X12 Cab.

For pedals i have a couple,

Jim Dunlop Cry baby wah
Zoom 3000X multi effects processor
Boss DD-5 Digital Delay
Boss Tremolo
Boss Octave
Boss Flanger
Boss Super Phaser (with step shifter, CRAZY SHIT)
Boss Metalzone distortion pedal (not used often)
Ibanez Phaser (for THICK phase)
Ibanez Twin cam (punny) Chours
MXR Flanger
and the ultra plus channel selector.

Im hoping to pick up the Roland Gr-33 Synth soon
i tryed it out for a while and really liked it!

Then after that, its too the rack mounts!

If any of you guys want tabs or anything let me know, and i`ll

I used to have a les paul and used a POD for my effects/amp/etc

sounded awesome but I've been out of the game for a couple years

everyone here has listed pretty much the best site, but as with rage said, a lot of tabs are wrong, they might sound 'about right' but that's the end of it.

Damn, you have a lot of shit man!! i totally have to get a better amp. all I have right now is a Fender Bullit!! it does pretty well tho considering. we hooked it up to my buddy's 2x12 cabinet once and it absolutely blew us away how well it powered it! i couldn't believe it.
do you know anyone that has a cabinet that they want to sell for about 100bux? i know that's ultra cheap, but that's all i can afford right now. got some B-day money to burn.

Let's switch topics here, who's your favorite/most influential player?

For me it's Jimi Hendrix (duh, kinda obvious with my avatar), followed by Slash, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page.

I used to have nearly as many pedals/effects, but most are in the closet now after I got the Cyber Twin. The tone on that amp (even tho it's a shaping digital amp) is sweeeeeeet. You can pretty much tweak any tone you like out of it.

The wahwah's the only effect I have left, as the pedal for the Cybertwin seems to suffer from some awful lag. Impossible to do the Voodoo Child intro =).

Jimi definitely rules all. I also like Kirk Hammet...his older stuff that is, Slash, SRV, and the guy from Dream Theatre.

Sorry Just_D16n, i have been looking for a cab for my friend for a very long time now and there not getting any cheaper!

As for my guitar influence its Van Halen and Zakk Wylde from ozzy.

Hey rage2, you said you have pedals in your closet? which ones?
