Hey everyone,
Am back its been awhile (I personally doubt anyone will remember me lol)
Anyways I have a question regarding a 98 F-150 with the 4.2L V-6, the engines shot but everything else was in well working order. I have someone who might be interested in buying her as is, but I don't much of an idea what it would be worth? I was thinking $400 but if anyone has any ideas, let me know :)

you could probably get more then that. im sure a junkyard would give you about 400$ for it.

You're selling this rig? With no engine, a 4x2 base model truck with nothing special about it, I'd say you should take what you can get. $400 sounds like a fine offer, take it before the buyer changes their mind.

$400 if you wanna get rid of it and off your driveway.

That truck would make a fun 5.4 swap!

You can get an F150 of that year with the 5.4 already in it for under $5k. I'd be surprised if you could do a decent swap for under that price.

But think about what you could do to the engine before you threw it in there lol Rebuild it with bored out cylinders, and a p&p. Could be an interesting project with the right tools

Meh, I just don't see the point in starting with THIS truck. It's nothing special, and is missing many features of other, very cheap trucks since it's a base model.
