I find this very interesting, apparently people who completely abstain from alcohol are more likely to die than the guy you see roll down three rows of seating in the nose-bleeds at mcmahon after a game.

It's on the basis that alcohol acts as a blood thinner, so less strain on the cardiovascular system.

lmao... so grandma was right? Guiness is the cure for all that ailed you?

Heard stories about guiness on the gums when we were teething, a finger or two for upset tummies, lol - pretty much anything...

And people look at me funny when I say I come by my love for guiness honestly - been drinking it since I was born practically

Guinness is not brewed in Canada. There are three breweries in Africa (Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon.) One brewery in Malaysia, and one in Ireland.

Well put.. definitely agree.

Also, there are way better stouts (brewed locally) you could be drinking!

Not true, if you buy the small glass bottles then they are brewed in Ontario, but if you buy the 8 pack of 440mL cans they are brewed in Ireland and shipped over.

I'll have to check the recycling at home - 99% sure last time I looked (because I was aghast at first) it said brewed in canada under license by molsons/labatts? (one of the big names anyway)

Might want to check the Guinness website.

Is it true that you get a much better pint of GUINNESS® stout in Ireland?

GUINNESS® is GUINNESS® - wherever you are. We always use pure, fresh water from natural local sources for the GUINNESS® stout brewed outside Ireland. That said, in blind tests (with a bunch of highly cynical journalists) none of our sample could tell the difference between Irish-brewed GUINNESS® and the locally produced variety. All the GUINNESS® sold in the UK, Ireland and North America is brewed in Ireland at the historic St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin.
