Hey all,

I just bought a new lamp for my Sony KDF46E2000 3 weeks ago, and I no longer need it as I am getting a new TV.

You can have the lamp for your TV, OR if you want you can buy the whole TV. I am selling it for $150 (lamp or lamp and TV)

Reason being is the optical block on the TV is going, so there is a red strip across the top of the screen and a blue strip across the bottom.

It's no problem at all if watching letterboxed movies, but is a PITA if watching something like hockey.

If interested, you can have it starting Thursday - I can deliver the lamp, TV must be picked up however.

PM if you have any interest!

I had the same thing happen. Called Sony about it and found out the warranty was extended for another 18 months i think. They ended up sending me a 52" LCD for $500 shipping included.

Not sure if oyu looked into it, but i just wnated to throw that out there.

Anyways I was able to keep my old TV too in which the kids now use it to play xbox on.

If the TV is within the warranty period he dan get it fixed for free. Otherwise Sony will offer you a new TV at a discounted price to make you happy

Yeah I got a deal from Sony for a new TV; just trying to get some $$$ back for the lamp, and figured someone may want a chance at the whole TV (i.e. for kids or whatever)

What did you end up gettin gif you don't mind me asking?

Sony hooked me up with a 52" LCD - 52S5100 I think. Total entry level but can't complain about the price.

I got the KDL46EX400... essentially 46" LCD 1080P model to replace my 46" 720P model. Got it for under $300. :)

Price was awesome, and the other choice was a 55" 120Hz LCD for $800, but that was too big for my room.
