Mighty nice of the Porsche guys to let my little Benz into their lapping day. I think I'm getting pretty hardcore, 2 track days and an AutoX in 4 days. My tires are REALLY gone now. Even though I hit 210 down the straight (cold day, no passenger, top up), I was no match for ANY of the cars down the straight. Some pics :

Sweet ass Techart 996 Turbo from B.C. :

Yup. It's the Wild Rose chapter of the Porsche Club of America.

didn't you originally get that car for your wife...that poor young lady is going to take the benz out one day, turn a corner and end up drifting into a curb

Originally, yes. But then I found out how awesome the car handles and performs, so we sort of fight for the car a lot. She'll be at the next track day learning in the 320.

Thats awesome both of you can share such a good relationship. Most Wives in relationships spaz all the time when the guy is always out with the car and they are not interested in it. Although if she discovers some "MaD SkiLlZ" and starts scooling you and the rest of us, ahaha, it might be more than you bargained for:rofl:  :burnout:

He just says the car belongs to his wife so people don't make fun of him for owning a "sports car" with an automatic transmission!

Hey Rage2, Is the owner/founder of the Porsche Club named Dana? I know she founded some Porsche club, wasnt sure which one.

I've seen that black one in China Town too (I was getting my passport and it went into China Town).

Nobody "owns" the Porsche Club - it's an organization. Dana was the President of the Wild Rose Region club. She did a great job and stepped down last year. Being President of the club entails giving up a lot of your personal time to organize and attend various club related functions. The president now is Mark Polson. I've only been a member for 2 years but I'm pretty sure that Dana was not the founder of the local chapter.

i was admiring that car when i was in chinatown getting my phone fixed and apparently the guy's friends with him and told me he had a boxster (wasn't really listening, busy drooling) but traded it in for that. . . . i'm gonna go cry now
