The fiance and I are having really horrible back pain from our old mattress. We're looking for something cheap as we need something different ASAP.

I've been looking on Kijiji and found a bunch of similar ads like this:

AD #1 (http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-furniture-beds-mattresses-Big-and-thick-Euro-Top-Mattress-on-sale-Look-at-the-price-W0QQAdIdZ237702101)

AD #2 (http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-furniture-beds-mattresses-HUGE-NEW-MATTRESS-BLOWOUT-W0QQAdIdZ237755303)

AD #3 (http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-furniture-beds-mattresses-Luxury-Hotel-Surplus-Beds-for-Sale-BRAND-NEW-NO-TAX-W0QQAdIdZ231944339)

I'm just curious if anyone has dealt with ads/sellers like these? Of course they appear too good to be true and I really don't feel like getting screwed so I'm doing a little research first. Already did a search on Beyond and found lots of useful info.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

The 1st ad is a shop that do sell cheap mattress. I've been there when it was operated by Chinese and sold a few HARD mattress that cater to Chinese.

It is now operated by some middle eastern dude. They still carry the same lines but they tried to screw me last time I was there giving me a dirty floor model when promised a new one from warehouse.

Ended up getting it from Leon's.

Unless you can do cash and carry, I won't deal with small furniture shops like that.

You're probably having "horrible back pain" because you're sleeping on a cheap mattress.

My suggestion is if you can't afford to buy (upgrade) to something better, then don't bother.

Try getting one of those memory foam mattress toppers from Costco. My gf and I purchased one a week and a half ago and we've been loving it ever since.

consider skipping the spring mattress and going to the full foam / memory foam topped mattresses from Ikea. Worked for me. Priced anywhere from $200-$400

My parents used to own the store back in 32nd ave. They actually just re-opened their new store this month in a new location 453-42 Ave SE and they are having promotional deals. New single, double, queen sized mattresses starting from $99, $259, $299 respectively.

I dont know too much about the business to be honest but if you guys have questions feel free to shoot me a PM.
