The design of BenQ's mouse is very user-friendly, as the peripheral sports a special wide track scroll wheel surface (Y-Track wheel) that provides better finger traction when scrolling through documents and switching between applications.

Moreover, like all of the optical mice from BenQ, this one is also powered by Agilent technology, and comes with a high precision 800 dpi optical sensor that provides users with a smooth and accurate experience in just about any surface they might want.

The device includes 5 buttons, if we take into account the scroll wheel and 2 customizable hotkey buttons. These 2 buttons can be used for assigning a certain number of functions, including changing back and forth between applications (the default application).

The M306 Wireless Optical Mouse connects to a computer via an RF receiver, which provides a maximum range of around 1 meter, and is powered by 2 AA batteries (also sports 2 power-saving modes). These power-saving modes can either be accessed by pushing three buttons simultaneously (right button, left button and scroll wheel), or if the mouse is not used for longer periods of time.

The mouse measures 125 x 62 x 38 mm, while the receiver measures around 67 x 67 x 27 mm, is available in either Silver or Black, and runs under Windows 98SE, 2000, Me and XP operating systems. It is available at various online retailers for around 30 US dollars, which seems a little expensive for a mouse that doesn't offer so many features, after all.
