There's about ten thousand emergency vehicles blocking off 4th street SW downtown at about 5th to 6th Avenue. Anybody know what's going on?

I'm too lazy to walk over and see.

^^Roughly ten thousand. Might be a little more or a little less.

I know there's a fire drill around Ernest & Young building. But 5th and 6th ave, no idea.

I would say it's more like a million rather than ten thousand.

^You're probably right about it being a million, I'm pretty bad at estimating large quantities.

Nobody knows? Probably just another broken window or something. At this rate, I might have to drag my lazy ass over there to satisfy my curiosity.

Okay, I work right by there, so I investigated while getting my coffee.

Earlier, there was an accident at 5th Ave and 4th St., which has now been cleared. What's causing the difficulties is that one of the vehicles hit the traffic signal control box and launched it across the intersection, smashing the front door and window of the art gallery on that corner. 4th street remains closed while Enmax is working to get the traffic lights back on line. They're doing lots of work underground using the manholes on 4th street.

Most of the emergency vehicles are gone. Of the original one million, only two hundred remain (without hyperbole, 7 vehicles with flashing lights, 2 of which are police cars). Mostly from Enmax.

So, no big deal really.

I know, I know, I'll say it for you: Cool story bro.

My boss was there. Lady had a seizure and took out the bus stop, pole and smashed into an art gallery. Lucky she did not kill anyone.

Makes me wonder what kind of fallout there will be between the art gallery & the insurance company.

Ms. Artsy Pants: "Those unique paintings are priceless and irreplaceable! The damage to the building will take weeks to repair!"
Mr. Richard Wad (xyz insurance): "I'll give you $40 for the destroyed frames and another $10 to buy a double-down for your skinny hippie ass. The value of the paintings is negligible. $50, Only offer.

Another reason that we need both medial and skill reexamination on DL renewal.
