I'd like to see Robin in the film, but only if it's like the late 80's comic series - a death in the family and Robin is killed.

Tom Hardy is playing a villain. It's not going to be Mr. Freeze, Riddler and I believe Penguin. I wish he went with Leo or Gordon-Levitt as the Riddler but we know Nolan won't disappoint.

403Gemini

I don't think its going to be the penguin. Nolan indicated in his previous films that he wanted more "realistic" feeling to this batman franchise, he wanted villains that could "actually" happen and penguin is a bit... odd.

I could see Mr.(Victor) Zsasz or even Dr. Hugo Strange.

Villains I would like to see would be Bane and of course my favorite, Clayface :D But those two don't really fit into the realism scheme.

yea he's going for more realistic but the Penguin in Batman Returns was just one version of the character. In most of the comic books and also in the Animated series, the penguin is just a regular fatso who's a mad businessmen. He would be a nice choice.

And they should've just named it The Dark Knight Returns, its way better but they probably didn't want to associate it with the graphic novel which follows a different story.

What's the reason for his batman voice? To conceal his identity? In none of the other batmans or another super hero movies did they find the need to change their voice. Hell, for superman, all they used to conceal his identity was some hair gel and contacts. I found Bale's batman voice EXTREMELY annoying.

The worlds depicted in the new Batman movies and Superman movies is entirely different, also Clark Kent is just a reporter, Bruce Wayne is probably the most famous person in Gotham.

Though I can't see her as Catwoman now, I do hope that she can pull it off. She is a decent actress.

Either way, I'm saying all the other batmans they never felt the need to have him change his voice. If they're trying to go a more realistic route, i think that option has already flown out the window as soon as they got a person to wear a black cape and mask to fight crime.

Why the hell is Anna Hathaway playing Catwoman? Put some red lipstick on her and when she smiles she looks like Jack Nicholson's Joker. I can't take her seriously.

Tom Hardy is going to be the shit. I can see him playing just as good if not a better villan than Heath Ledger. He was awesome in the movie Bronson

remember when they announced Heath Ledger was the new Joker and everyone was questioning and dismissing the movie just based on that? and then Dark Knight came out and everyone was shocked.

Have faith guys, too soon to judge. These are some interesting choices and at least they choose people who can actually act instead of going for the biggest hollywood name they could get.

Plus this Bane is gonna be waaaaaay high and above the terrible Bane in Batman and Robin movie.

Haha the same thing came to mind when I watched inception. I remember thinking it would be badass if they made a Joker movie (with Joker's backstory) starring Joseph Gordon Levitt.

Tram Common

Levitt is going to be taking back the Italian mob from Maroni.

If Bane is going to be breaking Batman's back I wonder if they'll bring in a Robin character to become the new Batman after that happens... or maybe that will be for the next one?

Also, if they bring Talia into this film as well there will sure be a hell of a love triangle.

I'm still not sold on Hathaway being Catwoman... I'm not sold on the idea of bringing Catwoman into these Batman films at all... seems to always be a recipe for disaster.

Two face was a pretty unrealistic character, just look when Tommy Lee Jones played him in Batman Forever, cheesey as hell, but Aaron Eckhart played it well in Nolan's universe.

I think the same treatment can be done for catwoman.... I hope.

The movies are very different and one can't really compare them, but then can you compare Burton's Catwoman for Nolan's? We'll see.

This movie looks sick but I don't think it'll be better then Dark Knight. Dark Knight was amazing and I don't think there is a better villan in any franchise or universe then the joker. Bane might be interesting but my favorite part about TDK was the maniacal psycopath villan as he fit perfectly into the universe that Nolan created.

I think Dark Knight Rises will focus more on Batman this time around and I think that will make it more "Batman Begins" and less "Dark Knight".

Then again Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard being a part of it might make it interesting.
