How does this install? Just thread on where the shift knob usually would?

Yup, just like that, then the shift knob threads onto the extender.

yeap it's simple, once you get used to the extender it feels so nice to drive with it :)

Only thing I'm wondering is how this is going to work with my Skunk2 short shifter, I read I could snap it with all the extra leverage lol.

give me a minute i'll try to call Gil at ciruit hero and ask how it works with aftermarket shifters

i left him a message, once i hear from him i'll let you nkow. I don't imagine there would be any issues but i want to double check for you man.

This was his response

"Quality aftermarket shift levers like the Skunk, B&M, Blox, MFactory will have no issues. Cheap aluminum ebay shift levers might break at the threads if powershifted. I've personally seen those break even without the extender."
