This is a used car lot in Inglewood. I am thinking of buying a vehicle there and want to know if anyone on Beyond has had dealings with them.

Are they a reputable company with good business practices?

Any thoughts on this appreciated!

We are completely pleased with the service and quality from there.

No complaints whatsoever.

ive dealt with Sam at Atlantic a few times and have always been satisfied with service.

first time i bought a vehicle from him was in 2007, it was my first car a 2000 Honda Civic Si with 103k.

i arrived with my dad and he disclosed all the info about the car without me having to ask. rebuilt status, needed stereo, hood latch was broken and the front end had been repainted.

he let us go for a drive and wasnt the least bit pushy. After all said and done i decided to buy the car, he discounted the price by $1,500 and held the gst so i was sold.

i left a $500 deposit and was told the rest was due two days later once inspection was done and hood latch was fixed.

Three days later he calls me and apologized for the delay and said he will knock off another $100 as well as have the car ready for the next day.

he stayed true to his word and called me the next day. when we arrived the car was washed inside and out with inspection in hand as well as bill of sale with $100 deducted. He went beyond that and even filled the gas tank up for me.

That being said, i have seen him again after that on 3 or 4 seperate occassions looking to purchase another vehicle and although i havent bought from him since, he is still the first place i stop when im in the market for a new ride.

after all the years he still remebers me, not always my name, but never forgets that he sold me my first car.

I hope this helps. dont know him personally just wanted to share my experience.

Those guys have been in business since 92-93, there used to be about 3-4 used car lots in that area, but they are the only ones who stayed behind.

I went there once a long time ago to check a supra they had for sale, and I got the full run down of the car as well.

I think this is one of the few legit used car places:thumbsup:

I purchased my SUV down the road from their affiliate (Double LL) and was impressed. I dealt with Hamish and he was spot on with emailing me answers to questions and and they were all a pleasure to deal with. I would/will go back when I am looking again.

*BUMPING*

These guys have a car i'm interested in.

Previous poster mentioned they provided an inspection report with the sale. I've never dealt with a used car dealer before, do they usually provide an inspection report? If so, is it done by them or by a 3rd party? If I wanted to have my own mechanic inspect the car would that typically be allowed?

Any other advice when buying a car from a used car lot?

Thanks

Thanks Inspections will be done by their guy usually, some places are pretty honest with these and some are quite the opposite. Personally I'd recommend getting an inspection done by your own mechanic no matter what, the money upfront on the inspection is well worth the extra knowledge or peace of mind.
