Used i7-975ee Intel 1366 cpu, came out of my laptop and only ever Overclocked from 3.33->3.4 (no bios options for my laptop to OC, thats the max it would do in software) This chip has unlocked multipliers (Extreme Edition) so in a decent desktop motherboard you should (no guarentees) get well over 4GHz with decent air or water cooling.
