Is anyone else having this issue? I've only noticed it now for the last couple days. It occurs only when I'm clicking on a thread or onto the next page. It's completely random when it occurs but has certainly been happening quite often.

I have Firefox version 3.6.12

Yeah, mine hasn't been crashing, but it freezes for a few seconds. It's connected to one of the ads, can't recall which one now, but I'll report it next time it happens.

edit:There it is, the Nissan Juke one.

Yeah we're aware of some issues with the Nissan Juke ad. Sorry for the inconvenience. Damn advertisers putting in high framerate cpu intensive ads. Gah!

Ironic really as I saw responses and can't even get on, had to respond on my blackberry lol.

Thanks for the update, Kenny.

The google update utility that installs with chrome is a pain.

Try this ...
http://www.comodo.com/home/browsers-toolbars/browser.php
It also uses the Chromium engine.

That Nissan Juke ad is also causing problems for me on Firefox and IE

I've since switched to using IE8 and at some points it freezes for a second or two but doesn't crash. Straight up hates firefox haha. This is the only site that does causes it though.

So what you're saying is that you are using Rage2's bandwidth up, without him getting the minute amount of revenue from the, 99% of the time, un-cumbersome ads that help keep the site running?

Good point. I never thought of it that way, thank you for pointing that out.

Is anything going to be done about the ad because it's really starting to get annoying or are we forced to wait it out until the Juke forces Nissan into bankruptcy and they can no longer afford to advertise?

Attempts to filter the ad out failed. The ad is affecting various sites so hopefully the complaints get somewhere.

I've been complaining everywhere, complained directly on their youtube page, ad networks, everywhere. Not sure why we couldn't filter it out. It was on about 8 of my daily frequented sites, so it was brutal.

Looks like they took it out of rotation this morning. Haven't seen it at all yet.

They need to hire better flash programmers if they're going to flood the internets with an animated flash ad. It's not really good advertising if it cripples 1/2 the users out there.
