Interesting that the Calgary Beacon article is an almost word for word copy of the City of Calgary's Newsroom release available at this link (http://newsroom.calgary.ca/pr/calgary/strang-single-vehicle-accident-178699.aspx)...

Strange Single Vehicle Accident on 14th Street SW.
November 06, 2010 07:02 PM Category: Fire

The Fire department was called to a single vehicle accident on 14th Street and Bagot Ave. SW. this evening. Crews arrived to find a late model Honda suspended in the air against support wires of a power pole. The only part of the car touching the ground was the right rear bumper. A Man and woman were still in the car when Firefighters arrived. They were instructed to remain in the vehicle until it was determined the car was not electrically charged. Once it was determined the occupants could be removed safely the car was secured in position and the couple was removed. Medics assessed the female driver for injuries. Police were on scene to control traffic and determine the cause of the mishap. Enmax, Firefighters and two tow trucks worked togeathers to bring the vehicle back to ground.
Thinly disguised plagiarism possibly - c'mon, the Beacon should be able to better than this when reporting a news story. Geez, even a bot could scrape crap off of the city's web site and present it just as well. To the Beacon's credit though - they did not commit the same spelling and grammatical mistakes found in the city's news release.

Truth, but still.

Emergency response safety 101: If it's anywhere near a power line, don't fucking go near it until the power company has shut it all off.

Copying a news release is actually not plagiarism. It's meant to be reproduced basically word for word. It's not something to be ashamed of. Sometimes that's the only info available.
