I’m looking for someone who has access to fabricate me some metal shims for the runners on my skeleton sled. Unfortunately it’s a custom made sled and there aren’t anything specific I can buy from the shop to make this work properly.

The shim dimensions I need are 3/4" long , ½ wide and ideally 1mm thick (roughly the thickness of a folded over piece of masking tape).

I’m kinda at a loss as im unfamiliar with machine or metal working shops so I was hoping for someone to steer me in the right direction.. Thanks in advance everyone :)

some people at SAIT has been making custom skeleton sleds for the past couple years. they might be able to help with parts as they have their own machining facilities, but i'm not sure if they make stuff like that for the general public.

most shop supply distributors sell rolls of brass shim. varying thicknesses. easily cut with tin snips or heavy duty scissors.

we deal with century vallen mostly. greg's would be a good place to check or quest supplies.
