Hey guys I have an old G4 running Leopard 10.5.8
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Apple_PowerMac_G4_M8493_QuickSilver_front.jpg
It's the dual 1GHz processor model.
My video card fried on me and I need a new one, whats the best card I can put in it that it will handle, and also has an Apple display connector?
It had an Nvidia Geforce 2 MX which worked good, but I think with a better card it would run a bit smoother. Not looking to spend much as it is an old machine, but if you could suggest something around $50 thats better then what I had that would be cool, thanks.
Also since I am already here, it's got 3 ram slots and right now it's got 3 512MB of PC133 SDRAM.
I was reading that OS9 would not recognize any more than 1.5 gig of ram but with OSX it should recognize up to 2gig. Any suggestions on ram?
edit:
More info on computer, scroll down to Four-slot models.
