i'm gonna be taking my car to get painted and i had an idea of painting the car the same color as the rims. i have alloy rims and i was just wondering if anyone had done this and how you guys think this would look. i have a 91 honda civic hatchback. i also was thinking about taking the side moldings off and bondoing it and painting over that. also do you guys think i should paint the bumpers. since it's a old car, the bumpers are black and i think i should paint them and have the whole car painted in one clean looking color. tell me what you guys think.

Dunno about the rims, depends on the color. Looks great on some cars and colors and looks like crap on others.

I have a personal dislike for black bumpers as it makes the car look cheap and I would paint them. I like the no moldings look, but you have to take into account how much work it would be to blend indentations to the body.

in that color i think it looks best how it came stock.... black bumpers and side moldings

if you want to paint the whole think tho, i'd recomend looking at getting a wings west body kit. its nice an clean and follows the style/body line of that car

well, im gonna paint it, because that paint job sucks, but do you think i should paint it the same color as the rims, alloy like that? and if i do that and dont get a kit, should i still leave the bumpers and moldings? keep in mind im also gonna do the interior all vinyl with black & silver or black & light grey.

get rid of the mouldings, but don't do it with jusr bondo, u have to weld some stuff on, if u just do it with bondo it will fall off, heres a pic of my old one, i didn't like the black mouldings, i painted the black strip on the bumpers, the piece in between the tails, the mirrors, black on the underside of the spoiler, the piece inbetween the side windows.
