I am just wondering if anyone know if this can be bought from some local shop in Calgary?

I am looking for the 3M double-sided tape. Looks like this

http://www.autogeek.net/3m-auto-tape.html

I rather go to a local shop and pick it up, than wait for shipping and all.

I dont know about that one specifically, but it looks to be the same as the one they carry at Home Depot. The tap with the red backing to it, its called heavy duty exterior mounting tape i think.

If it's not too much hassle can you post a link of it from the Home Depot website? Just so I know what to look for when I go there. Thanks.

Thanks for that. I just found it at Canadian Tire as well, I am guessing it's the same thing then.

I am just heading to the Canadian Tire. Seems like the same thing as Home Depot. Although it's not exactly the same as the link I posted in the first post, but I am guessing it should be good enough to do the same job.

The Scotch tape (made by 3M) from Canadian Tire is very strong and it's essentially the same thing. I have it and used it for the same automotive purposes and it works very well. You should be able to find it where the painter's tape are in the home hardware section.

I picked it up and happen to ask someone who was right there. He said for automotive purposes they have specific double sided automotive tape which is the one I ended up with.

Yup, that's the one - good for automotive plastic moldings and emblems. Just so you know, there are actually 3 to 4 different sizes - from thin to thick in width and some have green backings. But both serves the same anyway.

The one with the green backings dont hold shit. Red is the one you want, just comes in different sizes or suggested applications i guess.

I ended up with this thing called Molding Repair Tape by TrimBrite. It has red backing and it is essentially the same thing as that Scotch thing posted above but just designed for vehicles.

Looks sort of like this, minus that it has a red backing.

I went to a body shop supply shop last week and bought some 3M Automotive Acrylic Plus Attatchment tape. It is 1/2"x5yds, and $16.
