It was Toyota's new untested model, the Forerunner. Mainly targeted at golfers I think.

4Runners are high risk roll over vehicles. The high center of gravity along with a softer suspension doesn't make them too corner savvy. They all even come with warnings on the sun visor stating to avoid abrupt maneuvers and excessive speed. Probably rain+excessive speed were the factors.
