Well the 9g's (damn you pay lots, accidents?) is probably for FULL coverage. For an older car full coverage is usually a waste since the car is only worth under 10K at the most so your basic PLPD coverage would be enough as the car would be worth less the 9K insurance. Take the money saved and buy mods. if you get in an accident you take all the mods off and buy another car to put them on. HTH

If it a older vehicle it'll be less. BTW have you taken driving school or something like that? Because that will bring your insurance down quite a bit. I would go with State Farm Insurance. I'm with them and you get a big discount if you have taken Driving School within the last 2 years and if your a full time student with an average over 70%.
Saved me a whole lot of money:thumbsup:

yea well i contacted state farm and they wuldnt insure my familyy cuz were a high risk family
mom been in a wreck
brothers been in a wreck and also has a careless driving chargee

and yes i have taked driversedd, however it doesnt seem 2 do much for my insurance

if the car i purchase was to be worth less than 2000 how much wuld ma insurance be approxiametly

cuz i hear some people who say their insurance is like 900 a yearr, so i was wondering if it would be something like that..?

o andd yea im accident and ticket free...

It would be the same. If I have 10 cars and 1 driver, I have to pay for 10 full policies, even though I can only drive 1 car at a time.

If I had 1 car and 2 drivers, there's only 1 policy, even though the car would be driven twice as much (therefore TWICE the risk). How weird is that? :)

With Statefarm, the more cars I have, the bigger the discount. I'm the primary driver on both cars.

Normally it is
S2000 $220/month
RSX-S $200/month

Activate both cars which was the case in the summer, the rates were reduced.
S2000 $190/month
RSX-S $140/month

Make sense? It should reduce, it be weird if it didn't cause you can only drive one car at a time. Maybe my policies are different than Rage's

holy shit you pay alot for insurance, my best advice would for you to grab a diffrent insurance agency. Im 17 and I drive a 1999 olds alero 2 door and i pay 5grand a year. Our cars are the same platform and i have a 2door with a bigger engine, if you have taken drivers ed and dont have any accidents on your record no way it should be that much.

But thats just my .02cents

I pay $150/yr part-time on the cavalier, but I barely drive it.

They quoted me umm like $1100/yr full coverage full-time.

Weird, I don't get discounts like that. I actually moved all my policies over to a new company one by one, no additional discounts. Although my rates are WAY cheaper than yours.

SLK 32 AMG - $93/month
Porsche 944 Turbo - $94/month
Civic DX Hatchback - $38/month

All are PLPD + Comprehensive.

Nadz... why not seperate yourself from your family policy?

You are probably better off on your own policy... also... just get a car where you only need PLPD... my cousin had a new Eagle Talon a while back when he was 18... $400/month car payment.... $400/month insurance (so STUPID)

It'd be really hard to find a company to insure you on your own if you're only 16. I'm almost 22 and I had to call a lot of companies before I would find one that would insure my age category.

State Farm was the cheapest but they said they had too many people on their waiting list and would only insure me if I also bought another line of insurance (so I went for life insurance for $30/month which was the cheapest), and the total ended up to be $3000/year for full coverage on my 1999 Prelude. But that was after I proved that my GPA was over 3.0, that I passed a driver's course with AMA, and that my driving record was accident and demerit free.

If State Farm doesn't work for you, my friend is with Renfrew and he's been with them on his own since he started driving. He pays something like $150/month for his Toyota Corolla. You should try them.
