Does anyone know if anywhere in Calgary sells four loko?

It's a caffeinated alcoholic beverage, apparently it's banned in most of the USA due to it's dangerously potent levels of alcohol and caffeine.

Shittiest stuff I've ever drank in my life. Tried it for the first time in Dallas 2wks ago to see what all the hype was out and all I could drink was 1/2 of the can. Shits nasty.

I just came back from Seattle and this was on the news because the new state-wide ban was going into effect on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure you won't find these anywhere in Canada.

Four Loko is only banned in two states, Washington being one of them (and they just banned it literally last week), the other being Michigan.

The stuff tastes like shit, but it's incredibly popular at unis here. It's cheap (~2.50US) but has the same amount of alcohol as six light beers (4.0ABV at 12oz, vs 12.0ABV at 24oz). They don't have to release the amount of caffeine in it because the FDA doesn't regulate the alcohol industry, so I've got no idea on that.

But yeah, if you want to get really fucked up really fast, drink Four Loko. Pregaming with one is an express ticket to blacking out, because you can put it down quicker than 6 beers and it's got that caffeine that gives you one helluva kick. That is, if you can get it.

Yeah, I think the rule in Canada is they're not allowed to sell alcoholic drinks with caffeine. Hence when you order a red bull and vodka, they hand them to you separately.

I work at liquor depot in brentwood and we sell them. However like someone said the ingredients have been revised. There is no caffeine or guarana/ginseng. Just a ton of sugar. Fruit punch is the best tasting imo. You can still get incredibly buzzed of off just two or three.

I bought one Watermelon and one Grape?
just to try them out and cross FourLoko off my bucket list.

Both very interesting drinks. The watermelon was shocking at first, left a long aftertaste. The Grape? had a less shocking taste, and less aftertaste.

Probably won't buy them again unless there is a new flavor that I see on the shelf.

All in all, it was worth it and I'm glad I gave it a shot.

Im pretty sure that they took the majority of the "bad" stuff out of the cans even in the states its still pretty weak, although the rumoured caffiene level is 500mg per can. I remember having a couple of cans on my stag in 2011 and I was hallucinating all sorts of wierd shit once I got back to my bed.

Watermelon isnt bad. On a hot day i mix this shit with slurpees. They sell it at solo liqour in panorama... lil ceasers and macs right next door for slurpee and munchies ahahah
