My CQ @60kmh vs Deer

So I'm out and about at 8:30AM in this wonderful winter wonderland, enjoying copious amounts of traction and generally feeling great about life, when out of nowhere and deer gallops across the road. I don't even have time to react, let alone hit the brakes before it's flipping over my hood and connecting its hip to my windshield.

Pretty exciting way to start the day! Nothing like getting peppered with glass on the way to work. This was right beside the Wal-mart on Country Hills (just before the Royal Oak intersection). I watched the deer land on its feet and run away :nut: Too bad I only have PL/PD.

I'm working on getting a new windshield today. Aside that, the fender should be salvageable and the headlights are fine, just needs the one corner. AFAIC I got off easy... could've been a LOT worse.

That sucks to hear man, but atleast the damage is minimal. I've seen a few trucks hit deer and they were instant write offs.

No kidding.. I hit it doing 60kmh with zero brakes... just powered on through that shit!!! I imagine it'll die of internal bleeding later on..

that sucks man. those deer are tough. i hit one in my old firebird at 80 and it rolled off the back of my car and ran off too.
