I have a Turbocharged 91 Eagle Talon. It puts out 195 hp stock, and is one of the best cars if you want to build it up.

well, im predisposed to boost, anything w/ a turbo stock will b much easier to tune than something without,
for that range...
-turbo talon/eclipse/laser, the 1g are ebtter from what i hear, stonger tranny and can hold more power, not sure tho

-turbo MR2, amazing cars, look phat n can bag, importconcern.ca and a few ppl import cars from japan, u can get a90 now maybe, thatd b worth it

-SR20DET powered 240 - find a 240 here, n do the swap, or jus buy one form japan

-skyline GTS, saw one on importconcerns site going for like 5 grand i think, not bad if its RB20DET powered
, if u can scrape the cash for a GTR, do that up, or even if they toss u a 300ZX twin turbo, still all good

Biased...but a first generation DSM...Talon, Eclipse or Laser...you can get AWD and a turbo for around your budget...

lol... if u want "POWER" I would say get a domestic with a 350 BB or Bigger.... and if u wanna spend 50$ every time u drive around your block get a 454 or something...

But if u wanna spend like 5000$ on a import to make it faster than a stock 350 muscle car... go ahead... imports are very popular now and its almost as if the "American Muscle Sceen" is dying out...

5.0... just because it has a HUGE aftermarket... however non-teenage-bagged 5.0's are getting harder to find

I agree with keekee maybe you should look at the twincharged Corolla. Turbo and supercharged... awfully quick, and he was sellin it for dirt cheap. I think it ran like low 14's at the track..? And I think that everyone will agree that it is the ultimate in sleeper. If not go with a nice 5.0. Good luck with the skyline or 300
