Hopefully someone here can give me some guidence on my remotes.
I have a 1998 Cavalier with a 290IC Command Start installed. When I got the car I did not get a manual and got the programming info from this site. There were twelve steps and like others I have seen on this site, it would not take the twelfth step. It worked anyway so I just went on with life.
My issue now is that the second button on the remote has stopped working. I managed to find locally a remote for a CS555 and picked it up. I have put a new battery in it and it will beep and flash the lights on the car but I cannot seem to get it to program the start.
So my questions are as follows:
1 - Can I use this remote with the 290IC?
2 - If so, can someone advise how to program it so that it works.
