Hey guys, I have a 2001 Acura CL with a completely stock sound system right now. I'm looking to add the Polk Audio db212-2 subwoofers (found here: http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/products/db212/ ) but I have no Idea what kind of amp I need or how much it will cost me. Preferably something off the bestbuy site, as I will be able to get the employee price on it.

Thanks guys.

If you want inexpensive, which I`m guessing you are since you`re running that set up, throw anywhere from 750 - 1000 watts to it.
the few of those that i sold to kids who just wanted a ridiculously large amount of bass typically walked out the door with an alpine MRPM1000.
Inexpensive and has enough power for those polks.

I have the same subs and I'm using a 500W Kenwood Xeclon Amp. It is loud as fuxxor. 500W is plenty and I barely have my volume high so.

Word of advice though, your car is a 2 door coupe. I have the subs in my Pathfinder (SUV) and it takes up 80% of the trunk space so hopefully these will fit in your CL and 2nd, the box + the subs weighs 90lbs. So take that into consideration

So take that into consideration I actually just went out to measure, which I probably should have done before actually looking into this. The box would fit, but I'd have almost no trunk left. Looks like i'm going back into the market to find a single 10" or 12". Thanks.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

They are amazing sounding subs and the box is high quality and nice looking but say goodbye to any trunk space.

If you want subs that put out remarkible amounts of bass, and sound incredible I'd highly suggest DC audio.

A DC Level 3 or 4 will be more then enough, trust me.

Thankfully, you'll just need the 1. So that opens up a lot more doors towards space, as they also require much smaller boxes too.

PM Clay on here, hes a rep for Stetsom amps and DC audio subs.

He holds several world records, so he REALLY knows WTF hes talking about.
