Odd Carfax History - Help?

I just did a carfax on a 08 Jeep I'm looking at and it reports the first registration was done on Dec 8, 2006. Now with this being a 08 model it seems kind of weird. Does anybody know why this would be?

I know some cars, they built them in 05 but were for the 06 year.

Carfax reports that it is a 08 Jeep wrangler unlimited.

I realize that an 08 can be sold in 07. But seeing that first registration in 06 seems really fishy.

Well it is December of 06 which is really really close to 2007 so depending on how early they brought out the 08 model year in 2007 it could be right.

Or whoever entered/submitted the info to Carfax made an error. All the info on your credit bureau is submitted by someone, it doesn't mean it is right just because it is there-I use to see wrong stuff on credit reports all the time. Just because it is Carfax doesn't mean it is correct.

You can price a 2012 Ford Focus on their site right now and probably purchase it but not sure how long you'd have to wait on for delivery.
