So I`m looking at a 1967 Porsche 912 as my next `project`car, the one I am looking at doesn't need much work but Ive wanted one for as long as I can remember, so I`m going to make it how Ive always wanted. Anyway, while looking I came across a 912 that looks exactly like what Ive always wanted, I can`t tell what type of engine is in it though. Its obviously modified, so Im not sure if its the org. 356 or something totally different here`s some pictures...

Very cool car.

Can you get the serial number from the engine? Because this site: http://www.356a.com/ can help you identify it from the number.

Here is another reference for you... http://www.356a.com/engine_identification.htm

I miss my 911, I used it as a daily driver year round and it was so great. Good luck with your purchase.

Edit: Here is one more engine number identification page that should help you.

There is a local forest green 912 for sale by a Porsche Club member. The car was restored by the owner and has won several car show awards. PM me if you are interested.

I love 912s, super easy to work on as well. Sorry I can't be of any help in this thread but I wish you luck on your purchase.
