Would anyone be up for it? Say we set a date like 3 months before it happened?

Pretty sure its in the bike section for a reason so only bikes attend.

I should be picking up mine soon :)

Serge better up your game this summer and get back on a bike!

yeah...bike cruises tend not to mesh well with car cruises...just sayin ;)

but I'd be down for a ride out to banff as long as it isn't on the 1...cus I'd fall asleep. but if you really want to do a fun day trip Louise is a much better ride. The Bow Valley Parkways is a LOT of fun.

I was thinking only bikes. Could always use some help getting this organized.

Where would we want to go in Banff?

I'd likely be down for a ride too, this is quite far in advance to start planning though. I'll be in Victoria from Jan to the end of April, but after that I'm in Calgary.

Also, +1 for not taking hwy1, I'd definitely fall asleep. I'm gonna miss riding on vancouver island...

Take HWY 1A. It's a bit rough, but there's enough twisties to keep you entertained.

I'd be up for it if I'm still in town. I'm planning on an extended tour of Europe next year to attend a few MotoGP rounds. :D

I'd say out to lake Louis, the road to banff is brutally boring, it's not until you get Canmore that if gets fun, although there are barely any places to eat once out there. Highway 1a is a blast :D
I'm down though :)

Edit: why not have it split into two groups, once we get to banff, for people wanting to just go to banff, vs. Those that want to go to lake Louise?

All this talk of riding, and it's only December 1st. .. painful... :(

1A is awesome, I agree! I'd love to join, if I can ride my new bike well enough by then.

Um ... Why not have some cars around? We'd need to put all our gear somewhere while we're having lunch ... ;) A few trunks'd be nice.

LOL keep up with me, I'll go slow enough for you. Just follow what I do through the turns.

I've walked into numerous restaurants with my full gear on. When you get rid of the jacket of your 2 pc, its no big deal.
a 1pc is a different story though.

I'm in, and 1 is good for +65 people on gold wings...just saying

1A is a much better road for bikes, its a lot more fun but I hope everyone has good backs because you won't when we are done 1A is frost bombed.

The seat on my SDR is like sitting on concrete, Not a great touring bike but it loves Corners!

+1 for the ride and non smoking smoke breaks
