Turn of internet on Iphone 3gs (In Europe)

So my Iphone is unlocked and I have a European Simcard in my Iphone but I would like for my internet connection to be turned off when i am not hooked up to the wi-fi at my place


How do i turn off my internet connection by GPRS or EDGE?
