Wendy's new fries?

Is there actually a difference? I like Wendy's quite a bit, but the only thing I've really noticed is the salt :dunno:

I personally really like them. I don't think the old fries were the "rustic" type they have now, but I like the taste a ton more now.

Depends where you go. I had them at the Wendy's in 5th ave place, and noticed quite a difference and enjoyed them. In fact I did not know they had changed their fries until I was about half way through them and wondered why they tasted different and better, then I looked back at the order window and noticed the sign advertising them.

I had them a few days later at the Wendy's in Signal Hill/Westhills, and didn't much like them. I think they were using the old salt, not the new sea salt here, and drenched them with it. I like to eat fries with salt, not salt with fries.

They are absolutely disgusting now. May as well pour the salt directly from the shaker into my mouth instead of eating french fries now from their.

Some places haven't been too bad (I've had em twice). But it was still gross enough not to eat.

I always just get McWendys anyways (Wendys Burger + McDonalds french fries on 32ave)

The old fries were bigger/thicker and were bland, these new ones are so good kinda like mcdonalds but better. Had a large fries with a double baconator and sprite.

Taco bell fry's are awesome! When they are some what fresh. Of course newyork fry's are good. Malt vinegar is where it's at for those fry's. Even there hot dogs are good haha.

I didn't really notice any difference in Wendy's fry's. But maybe they were using up old stock or something like that. I'll have to try them again.

I can tell the difference by taste and I am pleased. Their fries were never as good compared to MCDs, and they still aren't but they're better now. You can tell if you have new fries because you'll see the skin still on them.

Also, I just love the spicy chicken combo. BEST fast food chicken burger... Aside from Nomad Food in Revelstoke.

Agreed, KFC and burger king serve the worst fries out there.

Tried the new fries the other day, seemed a bit less "meaty" than the old ones, and the old ones tasted a bit powdery almost, that is now gone.

Tried these the other day along with the bacon mushroom melt, I was impressed as they tasted much better compared to their old fries. Except McDonald's fries still take the trophy for best fast food fries in Calgary, next to 5 Guys Burgers and fries... now those fries are tasty...

I've always liked Wendy's fries and I really like the sea salt addition. Not sure if I like the new cut fries themselves better. Will have to try again.

Lol, I've always said that KFC/Taco Bell fries were the best also (Fries Supreme FTMFW) but everyone thinks I'm nuts.

However, with regards to Wendy's frieds, I have always fucking hated them. I gave them a chance and tried out the new ones and found them to be much improved. It compliments my baconator's much better than the previous sticks of bland shit they served before.

They're old fries were second best to McDonalds pending salt amounts. I usually just ask for unsalted fries. Ensures that they are always fresh and that they don't drench them in unnecessary amounts of sodium.

While I agree that everything on their menu tastes like absolute shit, I do frequent the joint when they have the bacon mushroom melt.

Double Bacon Mushroom Melt + Bacon & Cheese Baked Potato = Awesome.

I've never had to wait that long at a Wendys, nor do I find their wait times longer than anywhere else even during rush times.
