Any chance we can get a clothing or fashion section ? There seems to be a lot of talk about clothing, tailors, kicks, shopping and tips in general.

remember... CAR ENTHUSIASTS FORUM.

the only time we should be talking about fashion is when you're buying my last pair of jeans so that i can go ahead and spend it on car parts!

You seem to have some crazy notion that Beyond is purely a car enthusiasts forum. While it started as that years ago, it's certainly not JUST a car enthusiasts forum anymore. Have you not noticed threads such as:

Google Nexus....S? Yes there is a new Google phone (http://forums.beyond.ca/st/322631/google-nexus-s-yes-there-is-a-new-google-phone/)
Lightbulb Proof Japan is the worlds wierdest country. (http://forums.beyond.ca/st/322563/proof-japan-is-the-worlds-wierdest-country-/)
Priemer Gordon Campbell Resigns (BC) (http://forums.beyond.ca/st/320079/gordon-campbell-resigns-bc/)
"I Love Love" Art Project (http://forums.beyond.ca/st/322494/quoti-love-lovequot-art-project/)
What Dj Equipment to buy (http://forums.beyond.ca/st/322557/what-dj-equipment-to-buy/)

Do those sound car related? No. I don't know about you, but I have noticed threads ranging from where to get a hair cut, where to hem clothes, where to buy suits, etc. Would a clothing/fashion subsection be that much of a reach? Hardly.

you have proven my point flawlessly.

all of those threads fit into "General" or "Society/Current Events/Politics", so do haircutz and gucci fashionz for all you homo's, so why would we complicate things and actually DEDICATE parts of the forum to fashion and haircuts? yeah, we get a haircut or fashion thread maybe once every two months. does that mean we need to open up a section for it??

should we open up a "what DJ equipment to buy" section since once a year we get a thread pertaining to that?

if you guys want to play suggest a section thread, i'd say a "whining about your tickets" section would be of much more use in terms of organization. see, we get one or two of those DAILY. i'd say that warrants its own section.

EDIT: look! I found the PERFECT website for you two pansies

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the co-founder of this forum likes to spend big money on luxury items himself (ie. LV and such). Calm down there, machoman. Seems like you're out to prove something...

Excuse me? You're calling me a pansy based on what again? Because I didn't agree with you? I simply said that Beyond is far from JUST a car forum anymore. You need to drop the homophobia/idotic blanket statements about Beyond and people in general.

Case in point:

keep in mind that this is an anything goes section, on a CAR ENTHUSIASTS forum. how many gays do you know that can be classified as car enthusiasts? i'll go ahead and answer for you... NONE. the moderators are doing a great job looking our for the interests of the MAJORITY of the population here on beyond, and I thank them for it.

Oops. You really should think before you hit post.

You know the saying, the ultra homophobes are actually closeted gays. Just sayin'

According to CMW403, you're a homo pansy because you're may have a vague interest in fashion.

Totally agree.

Would be a good section.

90% of beyond knows more about jeans than cars anyway.

However, it would be the hugest fan boy flame war on beyond.

Check out the MaleFashionAdvice subreddit. It's good and intelligent, but generally not geared towards our winters.

And yet no sub-forum exists for such things, how odd? Maybe it's because they don't like to clutter the forum with sub-forums that will rarely get used. How often does a thread come up about clothing/fashion? There's some well used ones like the watches thread, but certainly not enough to warrant an entire section.

It's not a bad idea actually considering how Beyond is more of a general forum anyway. Maybe it'll bring in a new sponsor too.

Just to add my two cents, I myself am quite a fashion conscientious guy. To me I just know what looks good vs. What doesn't. I think that could be said about most guys that WOULD be a bit interested in a fashion sub forum. But in reality the need to discuss the latest trends, fashions & "how to look good" is minimal and laughable at best. I don't know, perhaps it's just me bit I don't log onto beyond.ca to rate some guys outfit or to discuss what would look good with a certain shirt. I think that's entirely outside of the scope of this forum in a variety of ways.

I can see that sub-section lasting perhaps a
month tops before its eventually removed due to the flame fests and rude remarks, all the while degrading the general atmosphere of this forum for good, or at the least a very long while

So all in all I entirely vote no, against this idea.:thumbsdow

Perhaps a bit more leniency towards "off topic" posts in the fashion & apparel section, but having a whole section towards " ZOMG !!11!! What belt to wear with these jeans? HELP!!!" Is redundant and idiotic.
