Well done Max! Good to see Stronglifts has been doing it's thing, great job on keeping up with it! I am on my 4th day of the routine tomo, still at the beginning stage pretty much.

Thanks. I have to say it does feel really good.

Next goal? Hopefully 3 plates a side! 5 reps might be too ambitious, I would be thrilled if I can hit 3 reps lol

We'll see how it goes, must stay strong and keep lifting, no excuses! lol

Great job. Too bad you didn't have someone to spot, looked like you had at least a couple more left in you.

Thats real good. I'd say next step is to tighten form before moving on. The raw strength is there, but your hips definitely shoot up faster than your chest.

But I mean you're probably good for a 255+ max at parallel which is nearing the x2 BW.

Smash that shit! ;)

But Coach Rip said it's all about the hip drive!

I dont agree. Your basically gonna be doing good mornings when you up the weight trying to do that form.

Nice lifting OP!!

Interesting.

I've never seen the squat taught like that. Personally, I see it more of a hip/low back movement like that.

I mean whatever gets the weight up - SAFELY FOR YOUR BODY - is what we're looking for. Thats how we increase training longevity.

EDIT: This is more the style I'm talking about.

Nice work!

I am currently doing the 5x5 program as well!

I am 6' 170lbs
bench: 195
deadlift: 225
squat: 205 (STOKED! as I had a bad knee injury a couple years ago...)

Keep at it!
