Just wondering if anyone here saw anything or has any advice.

My car got pegged during class on monday dec.6. It was hit between 2-3pm, possibly by a truck, looks like it was backed into. No note was left. Called campus security (nothing they could do), and filed a police report.
Car is a 98 Subaru Outback Legacy.

Pictures of damage:

Is lot 1 a permit lot?
He/she may park there often so you could just keep checking the lot for a similar truck whenever you come to uni.

agreed. He/she probably doesnt think there are cameras and think they are off the hook.

Yeah, may want to keep a lookout (as even I didn't notice lot 1 had cameras out there in the open).

But Lot 1 is NOT a permit lot, it's basically metered pay-per-hour. So it may or may not even be a student/staff/etc.

I'll keep a lookout for a dark blue truck, did they get the make/model/year?

Thats bullshit.

This boggles my mind, how can you back into a car that hard, and just bugger off.
Some serious damage too for a hit and run too...
People are idiots.

No plate as in the license plate wasn't visible (from mud or angle), or no license plate at all? I'm assuming the former

Keep a lookout on nearby lots too. Maybe keep a camera with you just incase you find the truck so that you can take pics of the truck's damage which should correspond to you getting hit. Police are useless in doing anything unless you have some proof.

I'm going to keep a lookout next monday for sure.
The plate was unidentifiable due to distance. Pretty sad about this though, just got the car for the winter and it was in really nice shape- I wish morons learnt to drive their vehicles.
No make or model was given from security though.

If you can get a few frame grabs from them one of us can ID it.

Couldn't ID the person as well? I thought the cameras might be able to follow them and see which building they came out of. Then use other cameras indoors to identify them.

Saw a dark blue Ford Ranger level II around there this morning, had a chrome rear bumper that was mangled on the drivers side.

Dunno if it helps or not?

Sounds like it- I'll cross-ref with security, did you grab the plate - and thanks for looking out btw!

This case has potential! I really hope that douchebag is dumb enough to still drive the truck to campus.

Plate was all grimey, there are a few unique points about it that I can point out if need be. Not going to post them here for obvious reasons.

You can PM me if you need to.
