Not really anything specific just wondering who else is getting slammed for year end. I have 2 weeks until my crews break for christmas and we have a crap ton of work that needs to be go live on Jan 1.

So far this week have worked 50 hours and not sure how much farther I am going to have to go.

Like I said not really anything specific, just wondering who else is busy as shit prior to xmas. I cant wait until I get a nice break and drink my face off with turkey and presents.

What are you pushing for at work right now?

I work 60-70 hours a week on a regular basis, don't bitch about 50! :D

Sorry I should correct myself. That was 50 hours in the field. Office work is usually around 50 for me.

Also I still have tomorrow ;)

13 hour days, working 10-4 shift so its really busy. Plus my cross-shift got promoted so I'm trying to do the work of 2 people....not succeeding very well right now. I'm guessing that Christmas will slow down for a week as everyone won't be around but after that it will be nuts again.

I was working for Kidco doing 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Now Im at Whissell, doing 10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. Making more money too, so it evens out.

Money is good, but lacking a life just isnt worth it for me. You only get one go around, why spend it making someone else rich?

Holy crap, I feel sorry for you guys. Of course, I earn dickall but only work 7.67 hours a day with a 1 hour lunch and 2 coffee breaks.

I did work a 16.5 hour day yesterday though... probably 6 hours of that was travelling though.

We just had a guy quit with no notice so everyone is picking up the slack for now. I work 4 on and 4 off normally, 12 hour days, but I am doing 6 and 2 until we find someone else. Good for the pocketbook, not great for having a life. I used to do 60 hour weeks when I worked for myself, 5 years of that burned me out though, I'm much happier now.

I finally have a quiet week, after 6 months of 60 hour weeks. Jan 1 it will all start up again, and back to long weeks :(

we just had one consultant quit at my work and both bosses are on holidays for the next two weeks. So for the next 2 weeks its 12 hour days with no breaks (with exception of 6 days off over next two weeks.

Year end means nothing for IT people except that we need to get our expenses submitted a little sooner than usual.

I'm working 6am - 6pm every day until Jan. 16th. Hoping for a half day off on Christmas and a half day off on New Years.

Atleast I'll have a month to relax in Thailand in Jan / Feb :poosie:

I haven't even had time until today to really even browse beyond. Year end blows, I didn't add too many hours though, just had to work harder each hour I was here.
