Hey guys I am having a very strange problem with my toshiba satellite t110d.
When I am in my house on external power the screen looks like it turns off. It goes black but there is still some light around the edges.

The wierd part of the problem is that it only occurs in my house. I have never had the problem occur at work or at school.
Could it be the power supply coming from the outlets?
I am completely stumped.

thanks for your suggestions

It's not the brightness setting is it? Tried another outlet in the house? :dunno:

Odd. Had the same issue with my old Toshiba laptop. My only work around was to change the power saving settings. Change the screen to a little dimmer than fully bright. Then it seemed to work. But eventually the screen started to do this issue with no a/c and run off the battery. SUcks and probably a toshiba issue.
