Witnesses to a single vehicle rollover scrambled to pull a Geo Tracker off the driver after it came to rest on top of him Saturday afternoon n the 200 block of Saddletown Circle N.E.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m. The male driver was ejected from his Geo Tracker after he lost control and rolled the vehicle. The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

He was pinned underneath the car. Some witnesses provided first aid to the driver, while other to lifted the vehicle off him and freed the injured man.

The driver was treated by EMS and taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The cause of the accident is unknown and traffic on Saddletown Circle was affected for several hours while police conducted their investigation.

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Unitis investigating a single vehicle rollover that occurred in the 200 block Saddletown Circle NE at approximately 4 pm this afternoon. A Geo Tracker driven by a lone adult male lost control and rolled at the location. The male was ejected and pinned underneath the vehicle. Witnesses assisted the driver and managed to lift the vehicle and free the victim. The driver has been transported to hospital with critical injuries. The cause of the incident is unknown. Traffic on Sadddletown Circle will be effected for several hours.

Geo's should be banned, they have ridiculous roll over rates its no wonder suvs are given a bad rep.
